Video: Senior Citizens Re-Create Rihanna’s Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show; RiRi Reacts

Although it’s unfair to compare Rihanna’s Super Bowl LVII halftime performance to the All-Star melody that Dr. Dre (Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar) presented to the same viewers one year prior, the Barbadian singer undoubtedly left her mark on the NFL’s annual year-end extravaganza.

While sports and music fans continue to debate the quality of Rihanna’s halftime show from February 12th, it has remained a hot topic ever since, earning support from celebrities such as Katy Perry and Shakira. The show also sparked criticism from recognizable names such as former U.S. President Donald Trump and ex-WWE Champion Bill Goldberg.

A group of tenants at Arcadia Senior Living in Kentucky made it quite clear where they stood in the ongoing fan-fueled debate by honoring Rihanna with their very own rendition of the Super Bowl LVII halftime show. Video footage shows the women donning red and white attire similar to what Rihanna and her backup dancers wore while lip-syncing to “Rude Boy.”

The clip went viral, attracting media attention, over 35 million views on TikTok, and a nod from the “Caribbean Queen” herself. Shortly after the ladies went viral, Rihanna sent them a bouquet of roses along with a note that read, “You Ladies Dance Was Amazing, Love Roc Nation, Rihanna.” The ladies posted a photo of the flowers and the special note on their Facebook page.
