The Philadelphia Eagles are adding another Super Bowl champion to their loaded roster.

Per theScore’s NFL insider Jordan Schultz, veteran cornerback Bradley Roby is joining the Eagles following a workout. Schultz added that multiple clubs had interest in the 31-year-old Roby.

The former Ohio State standout had spent the two previous seasons with the New Orleans Saints. After spending six years in Denver (2014 to 2019), Roby joined the Houston Texans in 2019 free agency. He spent two years there and helped the club to an AFC South division title in the 2019 campaign.

Drafted 31st overall in 2014, Roby was a key member of the Broncos’ Super Bowl 50 championship team in the 2015 season. Roby and All-Pro corners Chris Harris and Aqib Talib formed a stingy secondary called the “No Fly Zone” that propelled the franchise to its third Lombardi Trophy in franchise history.

For his career, Roby has 11 interceptions, three pick-sixes (as Schultz noted), 85 pass defenses and eight forced fumbles to go along with five sacks. In 13 games with the Saints last year, Roby had five pass defenses and 36 combined tackles.

Roby joins a stingy Eagles’ secondary led by two star cornerbacks in James Bradberry and Darius Slay. They’re one of the last two undefeated teams (4-0) along with the San Francisco 49ers.
