5 POSITIVE THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THE SIXERS!

The King of Sports Humour
IN LIGHT OF ALL THE NEGATIVE DOWN-TALK REGARDING THE EVER REBUILDING SIXERS that seems to be flowing from every other Sports Website or Blog, we decided to go the complete opposite way and Positively Highlight This Once & Still Proud Franchise!

So without any further ado, we proudly present 5 POSITIVE THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THE SIXERS! And here they are…………………………………………………………………Still Waiting? Keep wishing! Sike! Cthu, y’all know we got jokes ova hee-ya! But seriously folks…. Instead of jokes, here’s what The National Media should be saying about this “Diamond in The Rough” 2015 SIXERS Team.

1 – Jahlil Okafor/Nerlens Noel: Together they are nearly 14 feet of wonderful potential. Jahlil is a throwback big man, that, despite some people’s belief that the big man era has past, The truth is, having a big man in the post in The NBA, will never pass. He’s an offensive Tim Duncan with post moves matched by no other in the league. What he lacks on defense, Nerlens picks up. He’s a defensive mastermind that will someday, and possibly soon, win defensive player of the year. He’s that good on the defensive end.

2 – Brett Brown: He’s a branch on the Popovich tree which can only help. Though he worked under Pop, he has a chance to be known for being a quality coach on his own. Over the last 2 years he’s won a total of 37 games. Sure that’s nothing to brag about but when you consider what he was working with it’s quite impressive. Some people thought the Sixers would only win 5 games in 2014-2015 yet he almost quadrupled that total. He had D-league players that had no business being on an NBA roster and a bunch of first and second year players that weren’t ready to be major factors in this league.

Though his roster lacked matured talent, they played hard. Few, if any, teams played harder or gave more effort than the Sixers. They could lose by 50 one tonight and the next night they were right back on the court giving it their all. I’ve liked what I’ve seen from Brown and I’m curious to see what he can do with an improving roster in 2015-2016.

3 – Shooters: 2 years ago the Sixers had players like Evan Turner and Michael Carter Williams. Neither had the ability to drop a penny into a pond if they stood on a diving board. They were atrocious shooters. And guys like Spencer Hawes that wanted to be a shooting guard which, well, reread #1 and love it even more. No they have third year player Robert Covington, Nik Stauskas, Hollis Thompson, possibly Isaiah Canaan (He’s not a lock to make the roster). By having these type of shooters who can actually drop that penny into the pond, it’s sure to open the floor for our stud center so he can have room to perform his magic.

4 – 82 games from next year’s draft: In all serious, this team isn’t quite ready to make a strong push for the playoffs. They are however one strong draft away from being a legit contender from making a room at the 8th seed in a weak Eastern Conference. If the Celtics and the Bucks can make the playoffs, the Sixers are a shoe in come the following season.

5 – Draft picks: Whether it’s their own or the Kings pick, the Sixers can potentially draft 1st. The Lakers pick can be as high as 4th for the Sixers and the Lakers stink this year. They still have Kobe Bryant which will help the Sixers. Kobe’s gonna shoot the Lakers into a high lottery pick. The Heat can be as high as 11th.

They have a good team for the East but health is a serious issue with this team. Bosh with blood clots, Wade with his knee. The Thunder pick will be a late 1st round pick since they are a top 5 team when healthy. With guys like, Ben Simmons, Jaylen Brown, Brandon Ingram, all sf’s. Jamal Murray and Kris Dunn can be their future pg’s, this team has a very bright future.

EXTRAS: Sam Hinkie is actually a really good G.M and has the Sixers in position to be strong for a long time. With his basketball IQ, freedom to do his thing with the owners backing, tons of draft picks and salary cap space, things are only looking up for the Sixers. They are looking up, not because they can’t get any worse, but because they are building something that has a chance to be special.

Sixers fans. Hold on for a hot minute. You’ll have to endure only one more season of insults from over opinionated, self important NBA minds like, Tom Penn, Michael Wilbon, Screaming A Smith. Give it bout one more year then the jokes on them. Those guys are jokes anyway so the jokes been on them.
